According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel, the average salary in Israel for November 2023 was 12,969 shekels gross, which is equivalent to $3,554. Compared to the figure for November 2022, the average salary of employees increased by 9.5%. Taking into account the consumer price index, the real growth was 6%. It is also reported that in December, the number of employed workers in Israel grew by approximately 3% and exceeded 4 million people. The highest salaries are among workers in the information and communication sector, with an average of 28,328 shekels gross. In second place are employees of ‘Israel Electric Corporation’ and ‘Mekorot’ (the national water company) with 21,825 shekels. In third place are those working in the financial and insurance services sector, earning an average of 19,221 shekels. The average salary in the Israeli high-tech sector was 29,356 shekels. As of the end of November, there were 395,000 people employed in this sector.
